ABOUT
A native of Sofia, Bulgaria, Serafim began playing the violin at the age of four and a half with his father Dr. Alexander Serafimov, a renowned teacher in Europe. Later, Serafim continued his studies in the Lyubomir Pipkov National School of Music. As a soloist, he performed in Europe and South America before coming to the United States and settling in Austin, Texas, where he decided to dedicate himself to teaching in order to contribute to the musical growth and success of young musicians. Serafim has been teaching violin in Cedar Park, Austin for over 15 years. As a teacher, he believes that developing students’ technical skills to their highest levels is the key to unlocking their musicality and achieving a freedom of expression.
Under Serafim's tutelage, students have achieved numerous impressive accomplishments. His students have won prizes in international Internet competitions and have been awarded Outstanding Performer awards at UIL State Solo and Ensemble, where many consistently received top ratings. In addition, students have succeeded in All-State, All-Region, middle school, high school, and university orchestra auditions.
